How to Make Columns in WPForms – WordPress plugin

Mar 6, 2024 | WordPress Wednesday

If you’re using WPForms for your WordPress website and need to make the fields display in two columns, three columns, or other layout formats – check out this quick video. Kori will show you how to set up columns in WPForms using the layout button. Remember that you’ll need a paid version of the plugin to access the Fancy Field Layout Button. The free version gives you a CSS option to make columns. You can see that tutorial at this link

If you are using WP Forms, by default every single field just kind of gets in this one single stack column structure, and that’s pretty frustrating. I like it to look a little bit more like this, where we’ve got the side by side structure or column layout.

Hey y’all, I’m Kori Ashton and welcome to another WordPress Wednesday. Today I get to show you how to create side-by-side column structure inside of your WP Forms. Or maybe you need three columns or just getting unique on how you’d like to set up your fills. I’m going to show you how to do that right now in this short video. Let’s go into your contact form and remember that you’ve got to upgrade, at least buy a license for this. You can’t use the free version to find the layout area, so that’s just a side note. But as you scroll down here, when you do purchase a license, you now get access to these fancy fields, which I really like that.

And check this out. Here’s the button we’re looking for. We’re going to grab layout, drag it over, and when we click on it, it’s going to allow us some options here for different types of column structure. For this example, I’m just going to do the simple 50/50, side by side, two column structure. Let’s do that. I’m going to grab my phone field, drag it up in there, drop it in place. All right, now those are going to sit side by side there. I can click save, come back to the front side of my website where it was initially this stacked. Let’s do a refresh. And there you go, side by side column layouts inside of WP Forms.
